This virtual event is co-organised with universities in the UK, USA and Belgium. Publications by Routledge,


This call is premised on the need to reset our thinking about ‘impact’ so as to focus on what we call ‘more meaningful matters’. Examples of these more meaningful matters would be personal learning, explorative education, creative teaching and opened ended discovery in the studio.


In this context, the ‘Rethinking Academic Impact’ CFP welcomes contributions from educators, designers, artists, creatives, practitioners and researchers that seek to challenge traditional institutional approaches and structures.


Disciplines we seek to engage include:


Architecture, Urban design, Landscape architecture, Interior design, Fine art, Media studies and mor

The conference is held virtually. Presenters can submit recorded presentations or participate via Zoom. Written papers are also welcome.


Publications will include a conference book by Routledge Taylor & Francis.
