To maintain the integrity and applicability of this platform, all posts must adhere to the following guidelines:
1. Content Relevance
-
Posts should focus on academic opportunities related to Architecture, including, but not limited to:
-
Job postings (academic positions only)
-
Calls for papers and conference announcements
-
Grants, fellowships, and funding opportunities
-
Book launches and major publication announcements
-
Academic events and symposiums
-
-
Commercial promotions, for example copyediting, rendering, and various consulting services are not permitted.
-
Posts must be relevant to the Australasian and architectural scholarship community.
-
s-architecture is not intended to promote local city-level events. Only post local city-level architecture-related events if relevant to a national/international audience.
2. Submission Format
-
Ensure clarity and professionalism in your post, while maintaining the community noticeboard style preferred by users.
-
Use concise subject lines that accurately describe the post content: For example: Call for Papers /// Event name, dates, location
-
Avoid attachments or embedded images. All post information must be in-text.
-
When applicable, provide a clear deadline for time-sensitive opportunities.
3. Posting Frequency
-
Do not repost the same content excessively. If a repost is necessary (e.g., deadline extensions or updates), indicate this clearly in the subject heading and text body.
-
Please check the s-architecture blog to ensure that the content has not already been posted by others.
4. Respectful and Inclusive Communication
-
Ensure that all posts are respectful and professional.
-
Use inclusive language that supports diversity within the academic community.
-
Posts should be culturally competent and avoid discriminatory or exclusionary language.
5. Academic/Research Employment Postings
-
All academic/research employment postings must be free to access and should not require a paid subscription to view or apply.
-
Include job title, institution, location (if applicable), application deadline, and a brief description in the post text-body – no attachments.
-
If linking to an external application portal, ensure the link is accessible and clearly labelled.
6. Moderation and Approval
-
Moderators reserve the right to decline posts that do not align with the s-architecture platform’s purpose or AASA’s values.
-
If a post is rejected, feedback may be provided on request to help users refine their submissions.
-
Users are encouraged to report any inappropriate or irrelevant posts.
