SUMMARY CALL:
Education is never neutral: it either reproduces unsustainable systems or helps us resist and reimagine them. This track explores the role of pedagogy in cultivating resistance to defuturing practices: those that narrow possibility, deepen inequity, or accelerate unsustainable futures. At the same time, it highlights the need for speculative thinking: the capacity to design, narrate, and visualize alternatives beyond the limits of the present.
This strand positions education as a site of both critique and creativity: resisting the closures of the present while cultivating literacies and imaginations for worlds still possible.
