Call for HDR Projects: Anita Lawrence Scholarship
This project is inspired by the legacy of Associate Professor Anita Lawrence, UNSW’s first female architecture graduate and a pioneering acoustician whose 32‑year career and generous bequest continue to shape research and innovation within the School of Built Environment.
We are asking for research proposals to demonstrate that acoustics and hence the resulting soundscape as fundamental design factors, to inform future design decisions and enhance the lived experience of users in shared environments.
Scholarship (PhD 3.5 years, MPhil 1.5 years)
Anita Lawerence Scholarship - $39,206 per annum (2026 rate), $5,000 per annum research allowance
